- Alphas: alphabet letters to use on your pages as titles or elements – see example

- Clipping Mask: a shape you are for example going to clip your photo on meaning that you are going to have your photo take the shape of your mask – see example

- CT: Creative Team

- CU: Commercial Use –  see example

- GIF: Graphics Interchange Format preserves transparency

- GIMP: GNU Image Manipulation Program

- Hybrid: Traditional and digital scrapbooking combined

- JPEG: Joint Photographic Experts Group – is a commonly used method of lossy compression for digital photography image

- Overlay a transparent PNG image to lay over your scrabooking layout – could be with a texture on it – a design or alight effect –  see example

- Pixel: picture element – individual dots that comprise a digital frame

- PNG: Portable Network Graphic

- PS: PhotoShop

- PSD: Photoshop Standard Element – a file format that saves everything layers with masks – transparency – paths etc
